The KCSE RESULTS for 2011 will be announced officially by the minister for education professor Sam Ongeri by February 2011. Kenya National Examination Council will release and publish the KCSE RESULTS 2011 to secondary schools as soon as they are announced. One can check the kcse results by logging into the kenya national examination council website at knec.ac.ke. or sent an sms to a four digit number which will have been assigned to the council so mobile users can benefit from the same.
Students performed relatively well when the 2010 kcse results were released compared to the previous years 2008 and 2009. Their was an improvement in the languages and in the sciences unlike in 2008 when the languages showed a remarkable drop. They performed particularly badly in English, Kiswahili, biology, physics and chemistry,
Cheating in the 2011 exams was curbed by the strict measures which were put in place by the council's secretary. Once again, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will not rank schools but only will only list the top candidates and the schools from which they sat the exams. The is aimed at rationalizing the national performance fairly among the different categories of schools.
